How May We Help You ?
Our breakdown of the Autumn Budget, pulling out what was announced and what it could mean for you. Produced twice a year, after the Spring and Autumn Budgets.
What the guide covers
It runs through the main changes across personal tax, pensions, savings and investments, capital taxes, welfare and business taxes, then sets out the key facts and figures in one place. You get the headline measures alongside the rates, bands and allowances for 2027/28, so you can see how the pieces fit together.
Why it matters to you
This was a Budget of small changes rather than big ones. The cash ISA limit stays at £20,000 for everyone, but tax on savings interest outside an ISA rises to 24, 44 and 49 per cent from April 2027. There is a new pension tax allowance for those living on the State Pension, and the Inheritance Tax thresholds stay frozen until 2031. Knowing what is coming now gives you time to plan properly rather than react under pressure.
A note before you read
The guide is general information based on our understanding of the Budget at the time of writing, and rules can change. Your own position depends on your circumstances, so it is worth a conversation before acting on anything in it.
